Obituary for Kimberly Sue Carter-Parker

Kimberly Sue Carter-Parker, age 48 of Texas, passed away suddenly July 14, 2018 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, Texas. She is the daughter of Owen Carter, Jr. and Linda Carter.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at the Donnell - Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Interment will follow in Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Donnell - Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville with Matt Mendenhall officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a memorial be made to Madison Paige Sexton Education Fund or the memorial scholarship for Bear Academy in Texas in her honor.

Kimberly Sue, the daughter of Owen Carter, Jr. and Linda Howard Carter, was born July 10, 1970. She attended the Mulberry Grove Unit Number 1 school system, Kaskaskia College for cosmetology and Woodridge Business Institute. While living in Greenville Kimberly worked many jobs, some of which included Hardees, Fin and Feather and DeMoulin Brothers.

Kimberly had a son Kraig Allan Menzo Nichols in 1989 and a son Gerald Randall Stine III, Trey in 1992. In 2001 she moved to Texas and also had a daughter, Madison Paige Sexton. Kimberly worked for the Mashall ISD. She loved her career and being able to watch and help the kids grow up and succeed. She excelled by helping to develop new programs with administration. She moved to Brownsboro in 2011 and worked for Brownsboro High School.

Kimberly and Rob Parker were united in marriage on June 13, 2015. She retired from Brownsboro ISD in 2018 to spend time with her family. Kim and Rob loved to travel anywhere in the world, but her favorite was a warm beach in the Caribbean. She always said that her happy place was on a beach, sun in the sky and listening to waves rolling up on the sand. She was also a member of the Patriots of Texas, Brownsboro division. Kim was a person that was loved and respected by everyone that she met. She was soft, kind, loving, but direct and blunt at the same time.

Surviving is her husband, Rob Parker, children: Kraig Nichols, Trey Stine and Madison Sexton, step-children: Ethan Parker, Madelyn Parker and Heather Palmer. She was the loving grandmother to Tucker and Brentlee. Also survived by her parents and sister.
